Andy was one of the founding members of Black Eyed Suzan which is now Poor Man's Fortune. He was not only a great guitarist and musician, but a true friend as well and will always be our fifth and dearest member. He had a way of making you laugh through times when you didn't feel much like laughing, and always had a shoulder for you when the laughter couldn't hold back the tears. Tragically he was taken from us in car accident at the age of 25. It's hard to move on after the loss of someone close to you but to quit would have meant that we weren't strong enough to continue chasing that dream we had once shared with Andy. There are times on stage when everything is going smooth and the music sounds great, I can look over to where he would stand and see him smiling as if to say everything is going to work out fine.
If you've ever been to a PMF show you will notice that we always close the night with a band toast of Heineken, that toast is for Andy. So raise your glasses, flick your lighters and sing along with us.
